Our Story
In 1972, Mike Lemos started delivering hay and other ranch products to his neighbors. Agreements were made with a handshake, and the business revolved around Mike’s old flatbed truck.
As the company has grown, Mike has instilled the traditional values that made Lemos a success so many years ago. We still carry every large bag of pet food to each customer’s car and we train our staff each and every month to ensure they know what products will work best for your pet. Mike continues to manage the business and seeks out the latest and greatest products at trade shows throughout each year.

Jack was Mike’s loyal BFF (best furry friend!) for over 15 years. He was also the official taste-tester for the delicious food & treats carried in the Lemos stores. According to Mike, Jack was one of a kind. He would eat & drink while lying down & was known to be a real loud mouth! Jack & Mike were rarely apart, but if Mike went somewhere without him, Jack would scold him by throwing a tantrum. Always the loyal protector, Jack once chased a mountain lion off the property! A true jack-of-all-trades, he was wise beyond his years and full of knowledge about all animal things.
PJ was the beloved cat of Michelle & James, Mike’s daughter & son-in-law. Along with the General Manager, they run the daily Lemos operations & warehouse. Sweet, precarious PJ passed over the rainbow bridge, but his legend lives on in the many stories of his silly shenanigans, the “trophies” he presented from his wild hunting escapades, and his naturally curious character…. validating that a cat’s purr is a response to happiness, comfort, & hunger.
